Established in 2007 by the partners of Napa Valley's Far Niente winery, EnRoute is the culmination of a more than 30-year passion for Pinot. They made a serious commitment to the Russian River Valley, establishing vineyards and a winery devoted to capturing the magical essence of Pinot Noir.
This valley enveloped in fog, where wet winters and springs give way to moderate summers, feels almost divinely crafted for the singular purpose of growing amazing Pinot Noir. For winemakers with a passion as strong as ours, this idyllic American Viticultural Area (AVA) might as well be paradise: Year after year, the Russian River Valley's slow, consistent growing conditions allow us to attentively shepherd every step of the vinification process — and that means perfectly crafted Pinots for wine lovers like you.
We initially set out to create a single Pinot Noir that celebrated the very best of the Russian River Valley as a whole, but we were delighted to find several of the vineyards had quite a lot to offer on their own. So, we set about developing a series of single-vineyard wines to show the full flavor of what these wonderful vineyards can produce. Our single-vineyard offerings range from intensely structured wines with bold aromas to more delicate Pinot Noirs with silky tannins and subtle fruit and earth notes.
EnRoute’s Chardonnay, "Brumaire," is named for the morning fog that famously cloaks the Russian River Valley, which creates the perfect climate to nurture our fruit to ideal ripeness.
Combining carefully chosen heritage clones of Chardonnay grown in cooler Russian River Valley vineyards, "Brumaire" showcases the vibrant, bright citrus and mineral notes, and palate-filling textures that are the trademarks of the region’s best Chardonnays. Stylish and approachable, the wine's tropical top notes, palate-filling flavor, lively acidity and cool minerality consistently delight lovers of pure, expressive Russian River Chardonnay.
Our debut EnRoute Rosé of Pinot Noir is called "Facile à Boire," which means easy to drink. This Rosé marries carefully chosen Pinot Noir lots from across the Russian River Valley.
Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, our saignée style rosé fills the palate with notes of wild strawberries and just-picked cherries. Its charming perfume, fresh acidity, and distinct minerality remind us that rosé can be both refreshing and sophisticated.
